This function is used to disable USB/Flash Drive on his/her
Personal Computer to prevent unwanted transferring of data on the USB/Flash
Drive or to the Computer without the User’s Permission.
Generally this function is used at School’s, College’s etc.
There are many Methods to Disable the USB/Flash Drive. I am
going to tell you 3 Methods:-
1. Via
Registry Editor
2. Via Device
Manager
1. Via
Registry Editor

Disable
1.
Click on Start, & then click on Run,
OR
Press Windows Key +R,
2. Type regedit , & then click OK,
3. Navigate to: - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\UsbStor
4. In the Right Pane,
Double-Click on START,
5. In the Value Data Dialog Box,
Change its value to 4 from 3.
6.
The USB/Flash Drive will be disabled by this.

Enable
1. Click on Start, & then click on Run.
OR
Press
Windows Key +R

Type regedit , & then click OK.

Navigate to: - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\UsbStor
4. In the
Right Pane, Double-Click on START.
5.
In the Value Data Dialog Box, Change its value to 3 from 4.

The USB/Flash Drive will be enabled by this.
2. Via Device Manager

Disable
1. Click on
Start Button,
2. Click on
Control Panel,
3. Open Device
Manager from Control Panel,
4. Now Double-Click
on Universal Serial Bus Controller,
5. Choose the
USB/Flash Drive from the List which u wanted to Disable it,
6. Now Right-Click on the Name of the USB/Flash Drive, & Select Disable option in it,
6. Now Right-Click on the Name of the USB/Flash Drive, & Select Disable option in it,
7. The
USB/Flash Drive will be disabled.

Enable
1. Click on
Start Button,
2. Click on
Control Panel,
3. Open Device
Manager from Control Panel,
4. Now Double-Click

USB/Flash Drive from the List which u wanted to Disable it,

Right-Click on the Name of the USB/Flash Drive, & Select Enable option in it,
