How to Hide Drives with CMD?


Step 1 : click on Start button and excute the  Run ,If you are using window 8 then,click on start and search for Run OR just hold down windows key and press "R".
Step 2 : Run box will appear and now type "CMD" i.e Command Prompt and hit Enter.
Step 3 : Command Prompt window will appear,Now type "diskpart" and hit enter.
Note 4 : In window 7 ,it will show you a pop up like " Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to the computer " then Click on "Yes".window will open shortly.
 Step 4 : Now you have to type "list volume" and press enter to see tha all hard disk drives details.
Step 5 If you want to hide drive "E" then type "select volume E" or if you want to hide drive D then type "select volume D"  as per wish you want to hide the drive and press Enter.
After performing Step 5,A message will shown below you type like "Volume 4 is the selected volume"
Step 6 : To hide the drive,you need to type "Remove letter E" and press Enter.



How do I get the drive back?


 Step 1 : let me tell you that,you have to peform the following  steps 1 2 3 4 and 5 again which you performed at the time of hiding the drive.
In the Step 2 :  type "Assign letter E"
Step 3 Now check it on that you get the drive back in My Computer In case-You did'nr found.Just restart your Computer.
